In Core Keeper, your avatar is dropped into a mysterious dark cavern. You find yourself in a room with a powered-down core, connected to three statues that seem to require gemstones to run. What now? Ferocious bosses and cutthroat invaders lie at the heart of Keeper’s Toll and its perilous lands. All of the bosses, mini bosses, and invaders you will encounter feature their own unique battle mechanics and twists on the core gameplay.

Like many sandbox survival games, Core Keeper throws you right into the action. The lack of clear objectives and demands from the game is part of what makes it good cozy fun, but it can also be a bit confusing.
And while bosses amp up the challenge, the crafting-focused sandbox design is suitable for people who are less interested in hardcore fighting and more interested in base-building.
